Portfolios and Student-Led Conferences

Empowering students through self-assessment & goal setting

A CS student shows off her work to her parents.Students regularly choose work for their portfolios to show growth they have made. This process is an opportunity for self-assessment and goal setting. During student-led conferences, students share and explain their "works of pride" with their parents.

Students graduate with a portfolio that demonstrates their growth in all academic areas during their five years at Community School. Each child's graduation speech is a reflection of their academic, social and emotional development over the years.
