Science Festival

Encouraging scientific inquiry outside of school and the pursuit of individual interests

The Science Festival is a huge effort that involves time at home for each student to pursue a question through scientific inquiry. They perform experiments to test hypotheses, and they present the results and conclusions during the festival.

Each class spends time to present their findings to the other two classes during a gallery walk. Students answer questions from other students who visit their exhibit. Another portion of the festival day(s) has student scientists present their scientific studies with an oral demonstration in front of their class.

The Community School Science Festival is an undertaking that we have traditionally put on every other spring. The event enriches all of our learning.
